London Home-to-Home

Visitors' Book

Hello. Just wanted to say a few words about our stay at Juliette's Guest House (LHH10). Margaret and Maria were extremely helpful and accommodating. These two women were very hospitable. Each morning we were greeted with a great continental style breakfast, beautifully presented on a serving cart. It consisted of different breads, cheese, a choice of cereals, yogurt, orange juice, milk, coffee and tea. Our room was comfy. It had large windows and looked out over the garden. We had table and chairs, large comfortable bed and pull out sofa. The room was nicely furnished. The in-room bathroom was a pleasant surprise. It is well lighted and had a great shower, hairdryer, toilet and sink. They provided fresh towels daily. The property is code locked for security. The location is great, just a short walk to the Underground Circle or District lines. Notting Hill is a charming location. We would recommend this B&B. Deborah Boatwright, New Hampshire USA. (June 2006).

Twenty wonderful days! Thank you for your hospitality, Rita and Geoff. You have made this a memorable holiday. Evan Abercrombie, B.C., Canada (March 2006).

A phone call to compliment Theresa at LHH16 in Victoria for her excellent accommodation and service. Manfred Habel, Munich. (Apr 29, 2006)

"We have just returned from our stay with Charo and Antonio, property reference LHH/406 in Chiswick. The accommodation was everything you promised and more. Charo and Antonio were excellent hosts. Charo's breakfast was very good. The whole home had a lovely feel to it with great attention to detail. We will have no hesitation in recommending your service to our friends and family. Steve and Barbara Fisk, UK (Dec. 2005)"

Maria's home (LHH/610) was the first stop on our honeymoon in England. We stayed exclusively at B&B's on our trip and, although we had a great time at all 4 homes we stayed at, Maria's home was by far the most memorable. We were greeted warmly at a very late hour and were made to feel welcome immediately. The breakfast was delicious and gave us a great start each day. We plan on heading back to London soon and staying with Maria. Rich and Tracy Dart, CT (Dec 2005)"

I truly enjoyed my stay at Home LHH/06. A lovely house! We had a wonderful time in London and it was just like staying with family. Please pass on my sincerest thanks for a wonderful weekend." Violeta Oliva, Italy (Oct. 2005)

"A quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Bridget's B&B in Chiswick earlier this month. The location was so convenient, and our hostess was most hospitable. We will certainly recommend your organization and Bridget's B&B to our friends! Andy and Phyllida Baker, South Africa (July 2005)

"Just a wee note to thank you for organising home 412 for us. Mary and Alan were wonderfully hospitable and easy going about our comings and goings and even our very early Sunday am departure. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms very comfortable. We would certainly use them again." Jean Thompson, Holland July 2005)

"Just wanted to tell you how wonderful it was to stay with Mary and Alan (LHH/412) in London last month. Their home was inviting, as was the food and conversation. The tube station was so easy to get to from their home, and the neighborhood was quiet. Our room ws very large and airy, which was good since it was hotter than usual in London at the time of our stay. The beds were comfortable and the shower and fridge and coffee and tea supplies were nice to have in the room. We also enjoyed the filling English breakfast and bottomless pot of coffee. My husband and I would highly recommend Mary and Alan's B&B." Kirstin Strom, Wisconsin (July 2005)

"I would just like to say how much we loved staying with Charo and Antonio (LHH/406) for our short stay in London during May. Charo's house is welcoming and relaxing and our stay was made so comfortable that I would recommend this to anyone." Pam Harrison, Melbourne (June 2005)

"Thank you for your assistance with finding accommodation for our visit to London and the information sources you provided that helped us with our getting around. We were very pleased with the B&B we selected. Maria (LHH/610) is a wonderful hostess. From the moment she answered the door we felt warmly welcomed. Our stay was very comfortable and relaxed; it was like being at home, except we didn't have to do any of the household chores. Staying there both on our way to Israel and on our return was the best thing to do." Dave and Lethia Draves, Illinois (June 2005)

"My wife Trudy and myself had the most wonderful stay at Jolanta's apartment (LHH/601). We enjoyed the superclean accommodation and the always friendly hostess. I will definitely recommend this to anyone that wishes to have a long or short stay in the west of London. I am looking forward to using the accommodation again." Ivan & Trudy, Pretoria, South Africa. (May 2005)

"Hello. I just would like to thank you very much Bridget (LHH/411). You made our visit very nice. We appreciated the stay a lot. The flight left on time to Stockholm. Thanks for the sandwiches as well." Christina, Dan, Carl and Eric (Nov. 2004).

"This mail is to tell you how fine was our stay at Mary and Alan's Home LHH/412. We had a very pleasant time with them. They were adorable, willing to help, and welcomed us with warmth and kindness. The rooms were comfortable, nice, clean, the breakfast delicious and copious and all of us (our teens, my parents and us) have a good memory of them and their house." Mrs Burnand, Switzerland (Oct. 2004)

"My family and I have safely returned from a wonderful holiday in London. An important part of it was the accommodation at Ewa's. (LHH/620, Ealing) We really enjoyed staying in her nice, quiet, clean and well-furnished house. We also appreciated very much Ewa's hospitality, the hints for getting around and her taking us to the tube station for getting back home." Alfred Buholzer, Switzerland (Oct. 2004)

We have been so pleased with the services of Bridget's B&B that we would like to share our experience with you. We arrived at 9.00am after travelling 20 hours, so were a little tired. Bridget prepared a wonderful English breakfast for us with all the trimmings of bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, cereal, tea/coffee and fruit. The surroundings were lovely and Bridget was always a smiling host." John and Nia Ikonomou, Brisbane, Australia (Aug.2004)

"A recent magazine article on places to stay in London prompted me to look on the Internet for London Home-to-Home. I was so happy to see that Jane and John near Ealing Broadway (LHH/605) are still welcoming visitors to their charming home. My mother and I stayed with them back in 1987 and have never forgotten their warm hospitality and lovely Victorian home. I would recommend a home-to-home stay with Jane and John to anyone who appreciates getting to know a real family in a foreign country and being treated like a welcomed family member!" Karen Pavone, Colorado (Aug. 2004)

"I just wanted to say thank you. We've just returned home from a wonderful week-long holiday in London. Our stay with Juliette in Notting Hill (LHH/10) was very pleasant. We were very impressed with our accommodations - very clean, with a great breakfast every morning and the perfect location. Thank you for helping us find and book such a nice B&B! Peter and Andrea O'Donnell, Massachusetts (May 2004)

"Just a few words to tell you that I was entirely satisfied with your service and I won't be afraid to make the publicity to my friends of your London Home-to-Home service. Gill (LHH/614) is such a nice person and the accommodation was more than perfect. If you have the opportunity to talk to her, please give her my best regards and transmit all my positive satisfaction for the service."
Carol Anckaert, Belgium (Aug. 2003)

"I would like to thank you for your help about my short stay in London with Dulce and Manuel (LHH/208)in Fulham. Everything was fine and house, breakfast and friendship from the family was perfect." Giuseppe Amerano, Rome (Nov. 2003)

"Thank you so very much for providing such a valuable service! Not only did we find Juliette's home (Home 10) comfortable and clean, but we found her so accommodating and thoughtful. We walked from her home to Notting Hill Gate tube station within minutes. Our children enjoyed the trip and I'm yearning to be back as I write! Mary Ann Miehe, Edison, NJ (Apr. 2003)

"We had a marvellous stay with the Peter and Valerie (LHH/405), who are gracious and hospitable hosts. We enjoyed their company so much. Genuinely decent and warm people. Peter is a kind man and most helpful with travel advice and suggestions. They made our stay comfortable and fun." Doug Kinsey, Coraopolis, Penn. (Mar. 2003)

"We would like to express our thanks to our hosts, Charo and Antonio (LHH/406), in Chiswick, who provided excellent, wholesome hospitality, which we will be glad to refer to for future stays, if we may. Thanks again and thumbs up for your business!" Georg Lange, Germany (Oct 2002)

"We are now back in Australia after a month's holiday in UK and Ireland. Mrs Collins (LHH/411) was a superb host who made us feel genuinely welcome and very much at home in most comfortable surroundings. We do appreciate our good fortune to have been placed with her."
Colin and Rosemary Devlin, Australia (Jun. 2002)
